Handles

The profile handles differ depending on the creation mode. This page describes all the different handles of extremities and section for beams, stiffeners and stiffeners on free edge.

This page discusses:

Extremity Handle

The extremity handles display name of the extremities. If the extremity is associated to a specification, the specification name is displayed.

Note: If a profile is created using a closed contour (for example stiffener on curve or beam on curve, where the curve is closed), no handles are displayed as the profile has no extremity.

Length Translation Handle

If an offset is possible on the selected extremity, a ruler is displayed. Drag the extremity handle to change the offset of the specification at the extremity.

Angle Handle

You can change the orientation angle using the orientation handles. To change the angle, drag the orientation handles.

By default, the interval for orientation handle is 90 deg. To change the interval, right-click the Angle box in the Beam dialog box and select Change step > New one.
