Editing Objects

You can edit one object or several objects at a time.

This task shows you how to:

Before you begin: Stiffeners are used in the example below. However, the process is the same for other structural objects.

Edit a Single Object

You can edit a previously created object to modify its geometry, material and orientation.

  1. Right-click the stiffener object (either in the tree or in the work area) and select XXX.object > Stiffener (object category) to edit it.
    The Stiffener dialog box appears.
Note: This is the same box that is displayed when you use the Stiffener command, except that the Category and Name boxes are unavailable.
  2. Edit the object as needed.

Edit Multiple Objects

You can edit several previously created objects to modify their geometry, material and orientation.

  1. Multi-select the elements to be edited.
  2. Right-click the selected elements and select Selected objects > Stiffener.
    The Stiffener dialog box appears.
  3. Edit the objects as needed.

Notes:
  • It is recommended that you select similar objects. For instance, if you select a parent object and a separate child object, then the parent of that child will be edited. As a result, all the children of that parent will be edited.
  • During the multi-edition of the panels of different material-grades and thickness values, their respective boxes remain empty.
