Displaying Effectivity Columns

You can display the Effectivity, Variant/Option, and Evolution or Current Evolution and the Projected Evolution columns to view effectivity information.

The Current Evolution column displays the current evolution expression. The Projected Evolution column displays the projected evolution expression. The Variant/Option column displays the variant/option effectivity expression. The Effectivity column indicates whether there is effectivity defined for the object.


Before you begin: You must have the Configuration Engineer license role to display and view evolution effectivity in the Current Evolution and Projected Evolution columns. If you only have the Collaborative Industry Innovator license role, you can only display and view evolution effectivity in the Evolution column.
  1. From the action bar, click Tree List View Options.
  2. Select the check box next to the effectivity-related columns to display them in the structure view.
  3. Click Close.

The selected effectivity-related columns are displayed in the structure view. The Variant/Option, Current Evolution, and Projected Evolution columns are empty for products with complex effectivity expressions. You can view the complex effectivity in the Properties tab.

Note: When the model that is the product's configuration context is in the Private state, only the owner can view the effectivity expressions in these columns.
