Saving a Filter

You can save a filter so that it can be used to filter the structure again.

Before you begin: Define a new filter or edit an existing filter to refine the structure's content.
  1. Click one of the following:
    CommandAction
    Save Saves new or edited filter criteria using the current name.
    Important: If you save changes to an existing filter without first saving it with a new name, the changes overwrite the previous filter criteria.
    Save As Saves new or edited filter criteria using a new name. If you edited an existing filter, the original filter remains unchanged.
  2. Type a descriptive name for the filter.
  3. Type a detailed description that explains what is being filtered in the structure.
  4. Select the credentials required to create or save the filter.
  5. Click Save.

You can open the saved filter to apply it to the same or another structure.
