Searching for Content

When you search for content using 6WTags or Search in current dashboard, they both have specific behavior in Relations.

For more information, see Advanced Filtering of Content Using 6WTags.

This page discusses:

Filtering With 6WTags

The following tags are specific to Relations:

  • Synchronization status
  • Relations
  • Loops
  • Is last revision

When filtering with 6WTags, objects not matching the criteria are grayed out.

Note: When filtering with 6WTags, you can only filter references.

You can combine object tags and relation tags such as Synchronization status and Relations.

To delete grayed out objects, you can combine remove commands with 6WTags or Search in current dashboard filtering.

Searching In Current Dashboard

When using the Search in current dashboard, if multiple objects match the search criterion, then a selection navigator appears at the top of the viewer. It lets you navigate from one matching object to the next. All objects that do not match the search criteria are grayed out.

For the 6WTags and Search in current dashboard, to remove grayed objects, in the widget toolbar, click and select an option from the displayed list:

  • Remove objects selected
  • Remove objects not selected
  • Remove objects filtered

Loops detection using 6WTags:

  • A rule in the 6WTags called Loops provides two tags: IN (green shading) and OUT (red shading).
  • These are not pre-computed, and do not display a count.
