Sorting Items in a View

You can sort the items in any view on most pages in an app by the values in most object properties or by the values in any column in the Data Grid View except the Actions column and the Color column (if you have it displayed). You can sort items in ascending or descending order, either alphabetically or numerically, depending on the type of data.

Tip: In the

Data Grid View, you can click the name of a column in the header to sort by its values. Click again to reverse the sort order.

On the page toolbar, click Sort.
From the list, select the column or field to sort by, then select the direction to sort by.

Note: You can only sort the items on the page by the values in one column or field at a time.

The Sort icon changes to indicate the order in which the items are sorted. Its tooltip indicates which field or column the items are sorted by. In the Data Grid View, the directional sort order icon appears next to the name of the column by which the data grid is sorted.
