A level of details mechanism is activated for scenes or stores that contain at least 50 gondola sections and furniture. It allows you to increase the display performance of scenes or stores in the First Person Shopper. 3D models of objects that are relatively far from the user's position on screen are simplified.
In the case of gondolas, the levels of details are automatically generated for each gondola section when you click Prepare in Store Studio. For more information, see Preparing a Visit into the First Person Shopper.
In the case of furniture such as products on a pallet, for example, the levels of details correspond to the files available in Document Files in the ENOVIAapp. They are generated by Pack Manager or are imported as MPPACK files in the database.
There are three levels of details for gondolas and furniture:
Level of Details
Display Distance
Gondola Section Content
Illustrations
High-resolution
Between 0 and 3m.
The gondola section is available in high resolution whereas all representations of this section are displayed in medium resolution.
Note:
The high resolution of the gondola section content is used when you examine and manipulate an item.
Medium-resolution
Between 3 and 13m.
All representations contained by the gondola section are displayed in low resolution.
Very low resolution
From 13m and above.
Above 13m, all representations contained by the gondola section are represented by textured boxes.
When this mechanism is not activated, the gondola sections and furniture are all displayed in high resolution.
