About Pattern Heat Flux

A pattern heat flux applies a heat source to the model for a thermal pattern simulation.

Defining Pattern Heat Fluxes

Pattern heat flux uses the applied thermal patches from the material activation library definition to apply the laser heating to the model over the course of the simulation.

You must supply the absorption value, which describes the fraction of heat energy absorbed by the part. This value must be between 0 and 1. By default, the absorption is a single value, but you can specify temperature-dependent absorption values.
