Applying Fixed Connector Displacement Restraints

You can apply a fixed connector displacement restraint to restrict specific degrees of freedom of a connector.


Before you begin: You must have defined a connector in the Modeling app.

Support Selection
  1. From the Restraints section of the action bar, click Fixed Connector Displacement .
  2. Optional: Enter a descriptive Name.
  3. Select the supports in the model.

    A fixed connector displacement restraint can be applied to a connector with available components of relative motion.

  4. Select the restricted degrees of freedom.

    The degrees of freedom are oriented in terms of the local feature triad for the fixed connector displacement restraint.

  5. Click OK.
