You must add a platform before you can install an antenna and run a simulation. Since you can
add only one platform, the product assembly must include all required platform geometry. You
can build a product assembly, like the aircraft assembly in the image below, using 3D
shapes.
By default, the app considers
the entire product assembly during an antenna placement simulation. To reduce the simulation
time, you can simplify the product assembly's geometry by removing components that do not
significantly impact how the installed antenna performs. For example, if you simulate an
antenna positioned on the exterior of a vehicle, you can reduce the simulation time by
removing interior components (for example, seats and motors) and retaining only the exterior
skin of the vehicle. You can exclude components using the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. You can also exclude components when you configure the master simulation project in CST Studio Suite.
