About the Master Simulation Project

For each coverage test that you select, Antenna Placement runs a simulation as follows:

  1. Antenna Placement opens CST Studio Suite to access the master simulation project.

Note: If you did not configure a master simulation project, Antenna Placement automatically initializes a new master simulation project with default settings.

  2. CST Studio Suite downloads the coverage test from the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.
  3. CST Studio Suite uses the coverage test's information to update the master simulation project, position the antenna on the platform, and start the solver.
  4. Antenna Placement displays the solver's progress while CST Studio Suite runs the simulation in batch mode.

Note: You can open CST Studio Suite from the Windows task bar and view the simulation's progress, but you cannot interrupt its execution.

  5. Antenna Placement notifies you when the analysis completes, CST Studio Suite closes automatically, and Antenna Placement displays any error or warning messages.
  6. If the simulation completes successfully, CST Studio Suite uploads the lightweight results to the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.

The results become available in Antenna Placement.
