Creating a Transition Control

You can use transition control to smooth the transition between an optimized shape and neighboring shapes.


Before you begin: You must have created disconnected areas in the design space (using Simulation Model Preparation).

About Transition Controls
  1. From the Disconnected Areas table, click Transition Control .
  2. Select the face where you want the transition to apply.
  3. Enter the Transition Distance.

    The transition distance is the distance over which the transition from the modified (optimized) shape to the shape of the neighboring feature occurs.

  4. Click OK.
