Running a Simulation Process

After you have finished modifying the parameters associated with the selected simulation process, you can run the simulation process. You can run a selected simulation activity in a simulation process when you are editing the parameters of a simulation process. Configure and Run a New Job

  1. From the Details panel, click .
  2. Enter the job title.
  3. Enter the job description.

    The description should contain information that will help you identify the job in the future.

  4. Click Run.
    Performance Study creates a new simulation job.
  5. Performance Study requests login credentials based on any affinities that have been specified.

    For example, when you run a simulation process on a Windows 3DOrchestrate Station on which Run-As is enabled, Performance Study requests only the Windows login credentials. In addition, if the Isight adapter is configured in the process, Performance Study requests the Isight credentials. The credentials you provide persist for the duration of your session.

Run a Job

  1. Select the simulation process or processes from the Simulations panel.
  2. From the Details panel, click Run from the menu.
    Performance Study creates a new simulation job. If you selected more than one simulation process, Performance Study runs the processes synchronously.

    Performance Study displays an estimate of the job's progress; for example, the number of adapters that have finished running in a Process Composer simulation process relative to the total number of adapters defined in the process.

  3. Performance Study requests login credentials based on any affinities that have been specified.

    For example, when you run a simulation process on a Windows 3DOrchestrate Station on which Run-As has been enabled, Performance Study requests only the Windows login credentials. Pause or Stop a Simulation Job

You can pause or stop a simulation job that is running.

When you run a simulation process, Performance Study displays the following additional buttons in the Details panel:
