Specifying Field Evolution

You can specify the values of certain field variables in each step as the simulation progresses.

When prescribing field variable values, you must specify the field variable number being defined; the default is field variable number 1. Field variables must be numbered consecutively starting from one. Repeat the field variable definition to define more than one field variable.

  1. From the Loads section of the action bar, click Field Evolution .
  2. Optional: Enter a descriptive Name.
  3. Select the geometry supports in the model.
  4. Specify the Field variable number and its Magnitude.
  5. Optional: Apply a Scale factor to the magnitude of this field variable.
  6. Click OK.
