About Using Public (Regular) Stations as a Service

On Windows systems, you can configure, register, and run a public 3DOrchestrate station as a Windows service.

Running a station as a service offers several advantages:

  • You can restart stations running as a service easily, which maximizes uptime and offers a more resilient station experience than a station that does not run as a service. Easy restart can be particularly helpful when the station running as a service stalls.
  • You can configure a station running as a service to start automatically when its server restarts.

Running stations as a service is not supported for Linux systems.
