Configuring a Group of Stations

You can define a group of 3DOrchestrate Stations to set up and manage their configuration properties together. For example, you might define one group for all Windows stations and another for all Linux stations. In this way you can modify the properties of all the group's stations at one time.

All stations added to a group are assigned the properties specified in the group definition. Individual stations can be added or removed from the group as needed.

You can define a group of stations to be used with an IBM Platform LSF cluster—the group name in 3DOrchestrate must match the name of the LSF host group.

  1. Select the 3DOrchestrate Distribution Server that the new station is connected to (if you have more than one server).
  2. In the Properties Panel, click the Stations tab.
  3. Click Create Group .
  4. Enter the common properties to be applied to all stations in the group. See Configuring a New Station for definitions of each property.

For DRM Mode, choose either of the following:

    • Fiper Group
    • LSF Group

See About Distributed Resource Management for more details about DRM (Distributed Resource Management).
