Configuring a Private Station on Linux

Starting a local private 3DOrchestrate Station on Linux.

  1. As root user, edit the /etc/hosts file, and add the following entry for the 3DEXPERIENCE Launcher utility:

    127.0.0.1 dslauncher.3ds.com

  2. Start the Private Station from the installation location.

    For example, if the release is V6Rxxxxx, the start command follow this format: /usr/DassaultSystemes/V6Rxxxxx/3DOrchestrate/linux_a64/code/command/SMAExeStation private:true

    The 3DOrchestrate Station - Platforms dialog box opens.
  3. From the top bar, select Add .
    The Add Platform dialog box opens.
  4. Enter the 3DSpace connection information.

    You can find the connection details by selecting default 3DOrchestrate Distribution Server in the Station Administration app. For more information, see Opening the Station Administration App.

  5. Click OK.
    The Add platform configuration dialog box closes.
  6. Select the new platform configuration.
  7. Click OK.
    The 3DOrchestrate Station - Platforms dialog box closes and Login dialog opens.
  8. Enter Credentials in the login dialog.
  9. Click OK.
    Login dialog box closes and private station starts.
