Initial Temperatures

An initial temperature is the temperature of the model, a part, a vertex, or an edge at the start of a simulation. For fluid flow simulations, the initial temperature can be the temperature of a fluid region as well.

The temperature that you define for a geometry at the start of a simulation might change during the simulation because of loading or thermal effects.

For fluid flow simulations, you must apply an initial temperature to a fluid region if the physics specifies a temperature-based energy equation.
