Simulation Monitor

For each analysis case in your simulation, the Simulation Monitor displays information about the simulation in progress using error and warning messages, data in X–Y plots, and iteration data in tabular form.

Monitoring a Simulation

If your simulation includes multiple analysis cases, the Simulation Monitor displays a tabbed page for each analysis case that, in turn, includes messages, plots, and iteration data related to the progress of that analysis case. If your simulation includes only a single analysis case, the top row of tabs disappears and the Simulation Monitor displays Messages, Plots, and Iterations tabbed pages only for your simulation.

These three tabbed pages provide the following information:

Messages

The error and warning messages displayed for a simulation enable you to take corrective action if your simulation fails and provide further background about how the solver analyzed your model and scenario data.

Plots

Enables you to display information about the simulation's progress graphically in an X–Y plot. You can plot the total analysis time, step time, and time increment.

Iterations

The iterations table provides data from a set of variables in the simulation for every iteration in the analysis. The table headings are customized for each job based on the settings sent from the analysis.
