Sliders

A slider restraint restricts a flat surface to movement within a particular plane.

Sliders enable the selected surface to slide freely in all directions within the plane and to rotate about the axis normal to the plane. In the example below, a part face on the bottom of the block is parallel to the X-Y plane. The slider allows motion only within that plane and will prevent any motion in the Z-direction.

You can select any planar surfaces as the geometry supports to which the slider restraint is applied; cylindrical or curved surfaces are not allowed.
