Applying Centrifugal Forces

You can apply a centrifugal force to all bodies in a simulation to mimic the rotation of the model about an axis at a constant velocity.

You can apply only one centrifugal force in a simulation.

Note: You cannot apply a centrifugal force in explicit dynamic steps.

  1. From the Loads section of the action bar, click Centrifugal Force .
  2. Optional: Enter a descriptive Name.
  3. Select an edge or axis in the model representing the center of rotation.

The centrifugal force is applied to all bodies in the model.

  4. Enter the Rotational velocity of the model.
  5. Optional: Enter a Scale factor that is applied to the magnitude in each step.
  6. Select an Amplitude that defines the magnitude during the step.
