Support Selection
  1. From the Thermal section of the action bar, click Volumetric Heat Source .
  2. Optional: Enter a descriptive Name.
  3. Select one or more bodies as the geometry supports.

If you select a single face, the app applies the volumetric heat source to the entire body.

  4. From the Heat power options, select one of the following:
    OptionDescription
Per unit volume Expresses heat as per unit of volume.
Total Expresses heat as the total power for the entire body.
  5. Optional: Enter a Scale factor that is applied to the magnitude in each step.
  6. Optional: Select an Amplitude that defines the magnitude during the step.
  7. Click OK.
