Applying Connector Rotations

You can use a connector rotation to apply a rotation of one endpoint of a connector relative to the other. The rotation is in the local directions associated with the available components of relative motion of the connector.


Before you begin: You must have defined a connector in the Modeling app.

  1. From the Loads section of the action bar, click Connector Rotation .
  2. Optional: Enter a descriptive Name.
  3. Select the supports in the model.

    A connector rotation can be applied to a connector with available components of relative motion.

  4. Select the fields to define a rotation in the X-, Y-, or Z-direction.
  5. Enter the angle component in the Rotation X, Rotation Y, and Rotation Z fields to apply the rotation to the available components of relative motion UR1, UR2, and UR3, respectively.
  6. Optional: Enter a Scale factor that is applied to the magnitude in each step.
  7. Optional: Select an Amplitude that defines the magnitude during the step.
  8. Click OK.
