Defining Preload Steps

You can define bolt loading information before applying service loads in other steps.

You can define only one preload step per analysis case.

Before you begin: Create a structural analysis case, as described in Starting a New Simulation.

About Preload Steps
  1. From the Procedures section of the action bar, click Preload Step .
  2. Optional: Enter a descriptive Name.
  3. Expand the Incrementation section to access more options.
    1. Enter a value as the Step time, which is the duration of the step.
    2. Enter a value as the Maximum increments, which is the maximum number of increments in the step.
    3. Enter a value as the Minimum time increment, which is the duration of the smallest time increment allowed.
    4. Enter a value as the Maximum time increment, which is the duration of the largest time increment allowed.
  4. Click OK.
    The app creates a preload step that becomes the first step in your analysis case.
