About Sliders

A slider restraint restricts a flat surface to movement within a particular plane.

Applying Sliders

Sliders enable the selected surface to slide freely in all directions within the plane and to rotate about the axis normal to the plane. In the example below, a part face on the bottom of the block is parallel to the X-Y plane. The slider allows motion only within that plane and will prevent any motion in the Z-direction.

You can select any planar surfaces as the geometry supports to which the slider restraint is applied; cylindrical or curved surfaces are not allowed.
