About the Export of Animation Results

You can export the result data computed during the animation of an analysis case or analysis step to save it and verify the motion of your model.

You can export the results of an analysis step to:

  • Persist the results computed during the animation and according to a specific configuration.
  • Replay the animation in another app, such as 3DPlay.
The Export Animation generates an animation representation under the product that includes the mechanism referenced in the analysis case. To do so, it copies the results of the selected analysis case or analysis step or steps under the Animations node.
Important: Before generating an animation, make sure to associate at least one product to a body.

Use Export Animation to:

  • Export the animation result of an analysis case, with all the included analysis steps, under the Animations node of the physical product.
  • Persist a specific configuration of an animation to let you add additional contouring, scaling deformations, or to modify the lighting and visibility of the model.
  • Update the result data and animation of an analysis step following a new computation of the step.

You can then replay an animation in 3DPlay or in an app providing animation playing capabilities.

Note: To replay an animation in 3DPlay, make sure that your model includes an Animation node.
