About Solver Messages

Solver messages provide diagnostic information about your simulation. For example, they notify you if the solver ends prematurely, or they allow you to view statistics on successful simulations.

Solver messages are categorized as follows:

INFO Provides general information and statistics about the simulation as it progresses.
WARNING Identifies potential issues that require investigation. However, the simulation continues to run.
ERROR Identifies more serious issues that can cause the simulation to end prematurely. In some cases, the simulation can continue after an error.
FATAL Identifies problems that always cause the simulation to end prematurely.

Notes:

You can interpret messages in the context of the whole log output. To interpret a single message, you might need to investigate what happened before.

The message panel is updated during any solver calculations, including when the solver messages dialog box is closed.

Closing the solver messages dialog box does not clear the messages. The same messages are displayed the next time the dialog box opens.

When you start a new solver calculation, the previous messages are not available anymore.

Switching to another mechanism clears the messages.
