Bulk Modulus

The acoustic bulk modulus defines a material's resistance to compression. You can define it as a single real value or as a complex value that is dependent on frequency. You can also specify temperature dependency for bulk modulus data.

Input Data Description
Complex Select this option to specify the acoustic bulk modulus using a series of frequency-dependent real and imaginary parts.
Real Part For non-complex bulk modulus data, specify the single value for the bulk modulus in this field. For complex bulk modulus data, specify the real part of the acoustic bulk modulus in the table for each frequency that you specify. Bulk modulus values should be specified in terms of force over surface area.
Imaginary Part For complex bulk modulus data, specify the imaginary part of the acoustic bulk modulus in the table for each frequency that you specify. Bulk modulus values should be specified in terms of force over surface area.
Frequency For complex bulk modulus data only, specify the frequency in Hz for each real and imaginary part of a complex bulk modulus value.
Use temperature-dependent data Specifies material parameters that depend on temperature. A Temperature field appears in the data table. For more information, see Specifying Material Data as a Function of Temperature and Independent Field Variables.
Number of field variables Specify material parameters that depend on field variables. Field columns appear in the data table for each field variable you add. For more information, see Specifying Material Data as a Function of Temperature and Independent Field Variables.
