Electric Permittivity

Electric permittivity lets you model a material as a perfect dielectric, which means that the simulation can disregard both the Ohmic and the dielectric losses in the material.

This page discusses:

Isotropic

Input Data Description
EpsilonR Real part of the electric permittivity, ε R .
Use temperature-dependent data Specify electric permittivity values that depend on temperature. A Temperature field appears in the data table.

Orthotropic

Input Data Description
EpsilonR (X), EpsilonR (Y), and EpsilonR (Z) Electric permittivity, ε R , in the X, Y, and Z directions.
