If the material briefcase file is available in the content repository, you can import
its contents into the database.

Select .
The Import dialog box appears.

From the Format selections, select 3DXML with
authoring (*.3dxml).

From the Source selections, select File on
disk.

In the Filename field, do the following:

Click
and navigate to
content_installation_root\resources\materials,
where content_installation_root is the
location where the Dassault Systèmes
installer installs optional content.

Double-click one of the following material briefcase files:
- DS-Standard.3dxml
- DS-Engineering.3dxml
- DS-EngineeringFluids.3dxml
- DS-ElasticFatigue.3dxml
- DS-InjectionMolding.3dxml
- DS-FKM-Weld.3dxml
- DS-VerityWeldFatigue.3dxml

From the General tabbed page, select As
Reference and clear the other options.

Click OK.
The
Import Progression progress bar appears.
The
Operation report dialog box informs you whether or not the
import succeeded:
- If the import succeeded, you can review a brief overview of the imported
objects.
- If the import failed, you can review the errors and warnings that occurred.
You can also open a report from this dialog box to read about the import process
in greater detail.
The imported materials are available in the Material
Palette.
