Note: Create a temperature initial condition to establish the starting temperature before solving any simulation with temperature-dependent features.

Support Selection
  1. From the Thermal section of the action bar, click Radiation to Ambient .
  2. Optional: Enter a descriptive Name.
  3. Select one or more faces as the geometry supports.
  4. Enter the magnitude of the ambient Temperature that surrounds the selected faces.
  5. Optional: Click to scale the magnitude of the ambient temperature:
    1. Enter a Scale factor that is applied to the magnitude in each step.
    2. Select an Amplitude that defines the magnitude during the step.
  6. Enter the Emissivity of the selected faces.

The emissivity value must be between zero and one.

  7. Click OK.
