About Electric Potentials

An electric potential is an electrical degree of freedom used in analyses where piezoelectric effects cause stress and strain.

An electric potential is defined by part regions and a charge magnitude applied on those regions. The electric potential magnitude is applied to the regions at every node of the underlying piezoelectric mesh elements.

You can define a uniform electric potential, where one value is used throughout the area. Alternatively, you can use mapped spatial data to use a mapping table that defines the value at each location. You can include a separate value for the electric potential in areas outside the mapped region.
