About Applied Rotational Accelerations

A rotational acceleration prescribes an angular acceleration about a specified axis. The model must have at least one rotational degree of freedom.

Rotational accelerations cannot be defined in general static steps.

Applying Rotational Accelerations

Rotational accelerations are typically applied by specifying the acceleration on elements in the model. Rotational acceleration is a prescribed feature that can be used to specify an angular acceleration for selected degrees of freedom of the selected region's nodes about a specified axis.
