Applying Submodel Displacements

You can choose the driven nodes for a submodel analysis. Submodel displacement transfers displacement degrees of freedom from the global model to the submodel.

Before you begin: You must have a submodel analysis case.

About Submodel Displacements
  1. From the Loads section of the action bar, select Submodel Displacement .
  2. Optional: Enter a descriptive Name.
  3. Select the geometry supports in the model.

    Submodel displacement can be applied on one or more edges or faces.

  4. Select the step from the global analysis to associate the displacements in the submodel step with the displacements in the global step.
  5. Click OK.
