Accessing Experiment Results Data Files

After the experiment has completed, you can quickly access the results data produced.

  1. From the Results section of the action bar, click Get Files .
The Results panel displays a folder for each 0D logical component or FMU component in the experiment. A Results Generation folder is shown for each 3D physics simulation component.
  2. Double-click any folder to see the results files produced by the component:

    • A 0D logical component or FMU component produces a .csv file containing time-indexed data for all component inputs and outputs. A .zip file contains all output files generated by the execution of the component.
    • For a 3D physics simulation component, the Results SO (simulation object) file in the Results Generation folder contains full simulation results data. You can drag and drop this SO file into the 3DPlay app, or you can open it in the Physics Results Explorer native app for full-featured postprocessing and visualization.

Note: The results folder hierarchy is created as part of the simulation process for the experiment. The corresponding directories and files are generated under the working directory of the simulation process. Each results file is saved as a Simulation Document object in 3DSpace.

You can use the breadcrumb links in the Results panel to navigate back up the folder hierarchy.

  3. To download a results file, select it in the Results panel and click Download .
