-
Select the attributeType.
See About Simulation Attributes for a description of the
attribute types.
-
Select Multiline Stringif the default value of a string
attribute can have multiple lines.
- Optional:
Select Multivalue if the attribute is defined as a set
of multiple values.
If an attribute is defined by multiple values, you can implement the logic to run a
simulation activity multiple times, using a different value for the
attribute during each execution.
By default, the attribute is defined by a single value. If you select this
Multivalue, the default value is defined when you
assign the attribute to an attribute group.
- Optional:
Select Mandatory if the user must provide a value for
the attribute.
-
Select theMode, which determines where the attribute is
available:
Option | Description |
---|
In/Out |
Process Composer exports the attribute to the working directory before executing the
simulation process or activity and imports the attribute from the
working directory after execution is complete. |
In |
Process Composer exports the attribute to the attribute file in the working directory
before executing the simulation process or activity. |
Out |
After the simulation process or activity has finished executing, Process Composer imports the attribute from the attribute file in the working
directory. |
Neutral |
Used inside an activity or as an output result from an activity that
is not exposed to other activities in the simulation process. A neutral
attribute has a default value that can be used as input to the activity,
and its value is saved for postprocessing. |
-
Enter a Description and the
Default value for the attribute.
-
Do one of the following:
- Specify the Choices, which are the possible values for the
attribute. After entering a choice, you can press Shift +
Enter to save the entry and add a new choice.
Enter each
value on a new line. Provide a default value in the
Default field, which must be one of the
choices.
- Specify the Minimumand
Maximum value for real or integer attributes.
Provide a default minimum value that is greater than or equal to the
minimum value and a default maximum value that is less than or equal to
the maximum value.
