You use activities to build a simulation process. Parameters are shared within a simulation activity.

You can insert activities and steps into the process diagram from the Applications section of the action bar.

You can drop multiple adapters into an activity. Ana adapter is referred to as a step when it is added to an activity. This sequence of steps can be thought of as an inner flow. A simulation activity usually has one step that can be considered the main step. The following figure shows an activity's inner flow with three steps:

You can drop adapters on the outer flow instead of placing them within an existing activity. A new encompassing activity is added to the outer flow automatically. Each object is now an activity in the outer flow. The following figure shows adapters added to the process diagram as individual objects:

You must configure each of the activities included in the process diagram.
