Analytics Cases and Data Sets

You can create an analytics case by reading in data sets from a physics simulation, a simulation process, a Results Analytics analytics case or a test execution stored on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. You can also add a data set to the current analytics case. Performance Trade-off analytics cases are limited to 50 alternatives.

This page discusses:

Physics Simulation Data Sets

When you read or add a data set containing a physics simulation, Performance Trade-off accesses the results, creates a single alternative, and reads the port parameters and sensor information. Sensor information is read from only global sensor outputs that were created using experience content. The thumbnail image associated with the results appears in the column header on the Compare page and can be opened in 3DPlay. You can also open the results in Physics Results Explorer.

Simulation Process Data Sets

When you read or add a data set containing a simulation process from Process Composer, Performance Trade-off imports any parameters that were created at the process level as well as any simulation attributes stored in attribute groups connected to the process.

Results Analytics Data Sets

When you read or add a data set containing an analytics case created in Results Analytics, Performance Trade-off creates an alternative for each alternative that was placed in the basket in Results Analytics.

Note: The scoring and ranking in Performance Trade-off may be different from the scoring and ranking in Results Analytics because the apps may be comparing a different number of alternatives.

Test Execution Data Sets

When you read or add a test execution from Traceable Requirements Management, Performance Trade-off imports parameters associated with the test execution.
