The Runtime Text File

The runtime text file is the file to which the data are written or from which the data are read.

  • If you are writing data, the fast parser creates the runtime text file in your working directory or in a specified subdirectory of the working directory.
  • If you are reading data, the fast parser reads the runtime text file from your working directory or in a specified subdirectory of the working directory.
The runtime text file must exist in the specified location.

The Design Template File

The design template file contains tags and, optionally, markers. Tags in the template file define the name of the data and its format. Markers in the template file define the location of the data to read or write.
