Configuring the Isight Execution Environment

You can define the execution environment and how you want to transfer files.

  1. From the Applications section of the action bar, click Isight and drop it on the process diagram.
  2. Double-click Isight .
    The Isight Editor appears.
  3. Click the Execution tab.
  4. From the Connection Profile Type list, select the environment in which you want to run the Isight model:
    • Execution Engine. Select this option to run the model on a SIMULIA Execution Engine station. When you run the job, you must select Configure and run and provide the user name and password that provides access to Isight on the SIMULIA Execution Engine station. See Configuring the Execution Options and Running a Job for more details.
    • Standalone. Select this option to run the model in standalone mode.

If the installation of Isight installation uses the SIMULIA Execution Engine to manage jobs, the execution engine and the stations attached to the execution engine must be running. In addition, the SIMULIA Execution Engine connection profile (.cpr file) must be present in the Isight config directory for the Isight adapter to run the Isight model using the SIMULIA Execution Engine. If the connection profile is missing, you cannot use a SIMULIA Execution Engine to run your job, and you must select Standalone mode.

  5. Select the File Transfer Mode:
    • Use PLM Web Services. Select this option to specify that files are processed by passing references to the documents in the PLM system. Isight V5 interacts with the PLM system to retrieve or update files during Isight model execution. This option is the default.
    • Use Working Directory. Select this option to specify that files are transferred directly into the working directory and embedded in the Isight model before execution.
Note: This option can improve the runtime performance when smaller files are transferred. However, it is not recommended for large files.
  6. Click Ok to save your changes and to close the Isight Editor.
