Setting the 3DOrchestrate Stations

You can select the 3DOrchestrate Stations on which the job will run. All of the activities under the current process will run on the selected stations.

  1. From the Execution section of the action bar, click Set Station.
  2. From the Set Station dialog box that appears, do one of the following:
    • Enter the name of a 3DOrchestrate Station.
    • Click , and select one or more stations from the list of available 3DOrchestrate Stations. If you select a single station, all of the execution workitems will run on the selected station. (An execution workitem could be a single simulation, such as an Abaqus job, or an execution workitem could be one of many simulations within an activity, such as one of many simulations in a design of experiments optimization.) In contrast, if you select multiple stations, the 3DOrchestrate Distribution Server allows an execution workitem to run on any of the selected stations, depending on the available resources and the current workload.

You may need to provide login credentials to run the job on a different host, as described in Configuring the Execution Options and Running a Job.

Note: You use the activity execution options to limit the number of 3DOrchestrate Stations that can be consumed.
    • Click Run on submitting host to run on a 3DOrchestrate Station on the local host.

Warning: If you are running your simulation process on a remote station and you change your units system from the default in Me > Preferences, then copy the CATSettings from your 3DEXPERIENCE platform installation to the 3DEXPERIENCE installation on the computer used to run the simulation process. This ensures that the results of the simulation process use the units that you set.

  3. Click OK to accept your choice and to close the Set Station dialog box.
