Performing Simulations

Before you can perform a simulation, you must apply the appropriate simulation features to define the context of the simulation; the Assistant guides you through the process of applying these features. When the minimum required simulation features have been defined on your model, the status indicates that you are Ready for Simulation.

From the Results section of the action bar, click Simulate to run the simulation.

If there are problems with the simulation, refer to the Diagnostic Viewer for explanations.

Your simulation is actively monitored in the foreground of your currently running session. The simulation is executed on your computer (i.e. the local host). While the simulation is being performed, you cannot perform any other actions in your session.

A progress dialog box tracks the status of your simulation. You can click Terminate at any time to stop the simulation before it is complete. Once the simulation is complete, the results are displayed and you can close the Simulation Status dialog box.
