Accessing the Relations Explorer

You can use the Relations Explorer to view the relationships between test management objects. The Relations Explorer displays the selected test management object and linked objects. You can select the Test Management Relations profile to filter the view in the Relations Explorer to display only those relationships relevant to test management.

  1. Select any test data management object (such as a test specification, test case, or test execution) to display relations.
  2. From the toolbar, click Relations.
    The Relations Explorer opens and displays the selected test management object.
    Tip: You can use the mouse wheel to pan, zoom in, and zoom out.
  3. Optional: Click to preview neighbors.
    The Preview neighbors pane displays a list of applicable relationships.
  4. Optional: Click to access Relations Explorer commands.
    The Relations Explorer displays linked test management objects used by the test script.
  5. Optional: To access only the commands related to test management, select Customize Relations.
    The Customize Relations dialog box displays a list of possible relations. You can select Test Management from the list to load the default commands. You can further customize your view by selecting or clearing a command.
