Save the CST Antenna Project to the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform
-
Open CST Studio Suite, and open the CST antenna project that you downloaded from the Dassault Systèmes Knowledge Base article.
-
Select .
-
Log in to your 3DEXPERIENCE instance using an appropriate role for
exporting geometry.
For more information, see Antenna Placement User's Guide: Access to
Content.
The 3D area of CST Studio Suite displays the Compass after the model successfully loads.
-
Close CST Studio Suite.
Import the Model into the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform
-
Open a native client on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.
The technique that you use to open a native client depends on your installation and
environment. For example, you can open a client from a desktop shortcut or from an email
invitation to a 3DDashboard. For more information, see Getting Started.
-
Import the 3D XML model into the 3DEXPERIENCE platform by doing the following:
-
From the top bar, select .
-
Specify the Location and the
Filename of the 3D XML file.
-
Expand the Options section, and select As
New.
-
Enter your name in the Duplication string field.
The object that you import includes this string as a prefix to its name, which
makes it easier to find your file in the database.
-
Click OK.
-
In the Operation Report dialog box, click
OK.
-
From the Navigation section of the action bar, click Open
.
The 3D area
displays the aircraft model.
Initialize the Simulation
-
From the Compass, click Antenna Placement.
The app
creates a simulation.
-
From the tree, right-click your simulation and select
Properties
.
-
Enter Aircraft Antenna Coverage as the
Title, and click OK.
Renaming your simulation allows you to identify it easily when you search for
it.
-
Right-click the 3D area, and
select Assistant
from the context menu.
The Assistant guides you through creating and running your
simulation. It lists commonly used commands and indicates whether your simulation meets
the minimum requirements to run. All commands listed in the Assistant are also available in the action bar.
-
Select , and save your work.
