Specify general contact to define the contact behavior when the
arrowhead is inserted into the wall.
General contact interactions allow you to define contact between many
or all regions of the model with a single interaction. Typically, general
contact interactions are defined for an all-inclusive surface that contains all
exterior faces and edges. In this example, the arrowhead and the wall define
the all-inclusive surface.
The general contact algorithm models surface-to-surface contact, edge-to-surface contact,
edge-to-edge contact, and vertex-to-surface contact.
In this example, you will create a general contact interaction between the moving arrowhead and
the fixed wall. As the arrowhead moves further into the wall, the surface-to-surface
contact is predominant. General contact automatically handles transitions between
predominant contact surface types as contact conditions evolve.
Create a contact property with tangential behavior and a friction
coefficient of 0.1.
Specify general contact between all the surfaces, and use the new
contact property to define the global contact property.
