Run the Material Calibration and Review the Calibrated Test Data

Run a calibration for the parameters you selected to minimize the error between the test data points and the calibrated curve, and then review the calibrated test data to assess how closely it matches the original test data.

  1. From the top of the Calibration Setup panel, click Execute .
    The Calibration History panel appears and provides a plot of the progress of the calibration, including the objective value for each iteration.

    This example uses the default best-fit error measure, coefficient of determination (R2), that provides an overall measure of how closely the calibration curve matches the test data points. For R2, the objective value is a number between 0 and 1; the closer to 1, the better the match.

  2. When the calibration is complete, review the convergence criterion values at the bottom of the panel.
  3. Review the updated response curve in the Plot panel.
    The material response curve is much closer to the test data, as shown below.
