Export Data to a Material Definition

Export the hyperelastic and viscoelastic material parameters to a material definition for use in simulations. The new material becomes available for use in simulations for you and any colleagues with access to your collaborative space.

  1. From the Calibration Tools section of the action bar, click Create Material .
The Create Material dialog box appears.
  2. Enter the following values:
    OptionValue
    Title Butyl Rubber
Description Hyperelastic-viscoelastic material created by calibrating stress-strain test data set from a butyl rubber sample. The calibration uses the Yeoh hyperelastic model for 5-Prony Series.
  3. Click OK.
The Material Calibration app creates the material with hyperelastic and viscoelastic material behaviors, and it opens the new material definition in the Material Definition app. If you want to review the material options or add additional behaviors, double-click the material simulation domain in the tree.

Tip: Press F3 to display the tree if it is not yet visible.

Congratulations, you have successfully completed this example!
