Adding SOLIDWORKS Integration for Design Template Creation

You can configure the Connector for SOLIDWORKS server so that users can create 3DEXPERIENCE design templates that correspond to SOLIDWORKS templates. Users can then create new parts, assemblies, and drawings from within SOLIDWORKS, using the templates that are stored in 3DEXPERIENCE.

  1. Install SOLIDWORKS integration.
  2. Add the following line to the ief.properties file on the server: 

    mcadIntegration.SupportFamilyInStartDesign=true
