Disabling and Enabling Warning Label Customization

You can disable and later enable the capability for users to customize dialog box warning labels for messages.

  1. Open the registry editor.
  2. Open HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Dassault Systemes\SolidWorksPDM\WarningSeverity.
  3. Right-click EnableEditOfWarning > Modify.
  4. To disable warning label customization, from the Edit DWORD (32-bit) Value dialog box, in Value data, enter 0.
  5. To enable warning label customization, from the Edit DWORD (32-bit) Value dialog box, in Value data, enter 1.

    The default value is 1, that is, warning labels enabled.

  6. Click OK.
  7. Exit the registry editor.
    If you disabled, warning label customization, you can still access the Settings dialog box from Windows Explorer, but you cannot change any labels in the Severity column.
  8. To share the setting with all users:
    1. Export the entire registry key.
    2. Copy the registry key to all your users' systems.
