The Select Object Type dialog box appears when you save a file for the first time in SOLIDWORKS in a 3DEXPERIENCE folder and your settings meet certain conditions.
This dialog box contains controls for Object Type.
Select the object type for the file you are saving.
The Select Object Type dialog box only appears if these conditions are met:
Your administrator has mapped multiple object types for the file type you are saving.
The Show file data card when a new file is saved check box is selected from the Server tab of the Options dialog box.
You can locate the Options dialog box by selecting 3DEXPERIENCE > Options from the SOLIDWORKS view.
Note:
You also see the Select Object Type dialog box when you select 3DEXPERIENCE > Show Cards before checking in a file. Additionally, the file type must have multiple mapped object types.
